French nursery and primary schools were created in 1950. It has had a coll\u00e8ge since 1961 and a lyc\u00e9e since 1984.<\/p>\n

The school has been under agreement with the AEFE since 1990 and has offered bilingual French-German teaching since 2001, when its status as a private German school (Ersatzschule) was recognised by the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Since its creation, the de Gaulle-Adenaeur school has moved several times. The most recent was in 2011, when the school moved to its new premises on Meckenheimerstra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n

The school caters for pupils from nursery section upwards.<\/p>\n

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SCHOOL<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From the beginning of nursery to the end of primary school, pupils are taught in French and German, in classes with a maximum of 25 pupils.<\/p>\n

Some classes are taught in “double shifts”: teachers of both languages (French and German) teach together.<\/p>\n

Depending on the number of pupils enrolled, double-level classes may be formed. The maximum number of pupils per class is 25.<\/p>\n

OUR IMPACT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The de Gaulle-Adenauer school has been a partner of International Impact since 2020. For the third consecutive school year, the school would like to welcome two new civic service volunteers. Their mission is to support the school’s teaching teams to improve the support given to pupils during school and extra-curricular time.<\/p>\n

Each volunteer is encouraged to propose new activities to enrich the school support programme.<\/p>\n
