Learn how to code computers with Simplon<\/strong><\/h2>\n1 CONTEXT :<\/strong><\/p>\nCreated in July 2015, under the aegis of the FACE Foundation, the Simplon Foundation promotes inclusive digital technology for the benefit of people (young dropouts, job seekers, women, refugees, etc.) and the most disadvantaged areas (priority districts, rural areas, etc.).<\/p>\n
Thus, to train for free, in a short and intensive way, young dropouts and disadvantaged people learn Web programming and computers.<\/p>\n
The Simplon Foundation intervenes through 4 main axes:<\/p>\n
\n- Integration and employment: schools, third places, integration programmes….<\/li>\n
- Children and adolescents: combating the digital divide, promoting digital literacy, awareness-raising and school drop-out prevention measures in France and Africa.<\/li>\n
- Women and digital: awareness raising for young girls, special training, promotion of women in technical professions.<\/li>\n
- New audiences: inclusion of people with disabilities, integration of refugees and reintegration of people in the hands of justice (outside \/ within the walls).<\/li>\n
- Digital and sustainable development: raising awareness of eco-responsible IT among the target audiences and then disseminating it across the board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

2\u00a0 IMPACT :<\/strong><\/p>\n300 trained people, 80% of whom have found a job or created their own, in the 3 months following the end of their training and 500 to come with our 11 schools open and soon more than 30 throughout the country (popular suburbs, rurality, French overseas departments and territories) and also in Romania, Africa (C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, Senegal, Morocco).
\nNearly 100,000 young people engaged in coding in 18 countries during Africa Code Week, and 5,000 in France with European Code Week and Code Time.<\/p>\n
We are starting to support Simplon’s programmes in foreign countries with civic service volunteers<\/strong> working against digital divides<\/strong><\/span> (Romania).<\/p>\n3\u00a0 PROJECTS :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Promote a flexible and customizable expansion model, territory by territory, create local employment opportunities and adapt our training to each configuration.<\/li>\n
- Settling in Clichy-sous-Bois, Trappes, Sarcelles, Marseille Nord, Villeurbanne, Lunel, Roubaix, but also in the middle of our countryside, in the French overseas departments and territories with qualifying training, with a model that is difficult to find, but which principle of free education is vital and non-negotiable.<\/li>\n
- Reach more and more people receiving basic social benefits: refugees with SINGA, people in detention and in court, migrants, single mothers, homeless…<\/li>\n
- Struggle to defend the cause of women in technical jobs in the digital industry.<\/li>\n
- The implementation of actions has necessarily turned to the general interest thanks to our Simplon Foundation, recognized as serving the public interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
