Live social archaeology with Arch\u00e9odys\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Arch\u00e9odys\u00e9e is a round-the-world project, with the aim of showing that archaeology can be a driving force for development.<\/p>\n

Trained as an archaeologist and committed to the world of international solidarity, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Blitte would like in the medium term to be able to link these two fields. This trip will enable her to meet various organizations and archaeologists who are working in this direction. She will focus in more detail on one type of heritage: archaeological remains.<\/p>\n

Social archaeology comes in various forms, combining scientific research and local development: although sustainable tourism is the best known example, some projects focus on other aspects such as training local archaeologists, developing local crafts, recultivation of ancient seeds, heritage awareness in schools, etc. The project will also focus on the development of a new approach to the management of archaeological sites, which will be a key element of the project.<\/p>\n

The aim is therefore to discover archaeological projects where the local population is involved and where economic development is taking place. This odyssey will take H\u00e9l\u00e8ne to the Near and Middle East, Asia and Latin America.<\/p>\n
