Rescue young people from prostitution with CASA<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1.\u00a0 CONTEXT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The association CASA created in 2000 by Sister Pascaline has for vocation the rehabilitation of the prostituted girls of the region of Lom\u00e9.
\nSupported by some European organisations, the CASA Esperanza centre has since then received and supported more than 500 girls, a quarter of whom have now been able to return to a stable life and start a family.<\/p>\n

CASA’s objective is to facilitate the reintegration of young girls in very difficult situations through educational support and vocational training activities (sewing, catering and hairdressing workshops).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 MEANS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The centre accommodates on a surface of a little more than one hectare sheltering dormitories, classrooms, refectory, kitchen… an average of 50 young girls, most of whom are boarders. They are given basic pedagogical training (reading, arithmetic, writing), mostly professional, and integral education with sports activities, income-generating activities (chicken breeding, gardening…) and some workshops.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 PROJECTS TO SUPPORT:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The current project is to light the dormitories, the kitchen and an annex building with photovoltaic panels.
\nThe 3 estimates are respectively 2500 euros, 2100 euros and 2000 euros.<\/p>\n
