The Pierre et Marie Curie school was founded in 1997. It is approved by the Agence pour l’Enseignement Fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l’Etranger (AEFE). Approval has been granted by both the French and German authorities, so the curriculum taught is bilingual and complies with both official education systems.<\/p>\n

The school is located in the town of Heidelberg, in the south-west of Germany, in the state of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg.<\/p>\n

Depending on the year, the school has between 180 and 200 pupils, from nursery to CM1.<\/p>\n

The children are divided into :<\/p>\n

From the age of 2, pupils at the school benefit from bilingual French-German teaching by teachers who are native speakers of both languages.<\/p>\n

OUR IMPACT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"Since the start of the new school year in September 2020, the Pierre & Marie Curie French School in Heidelberg has welcomed several civic service volunteers.<\/p>\n

They are involved in the following tasks<\/p>\n

\u2665 support for teachers during lessons
\n\u2665 tutoring and homework help for pupils
\n\u2665 individual support for pupils with disabilities and\/or special needs
\n\u2665 helping to run extra-curricular activities
\n\u2665 taking part in school projects (tournaments, end-of-year shows, etc.), citizenship education and sustainable development projects
\n\u2665 helping to raise the profile of the school and its events.<\/p>\n

All volunteers are encouraged to propose new activities to enrich the school support programme.<\/p>\n
