Innovate education with Hub School 21

1.  CONTEXT:

Hub School 21 welcomes pupils from third to third grade. This school was born in Vincennes at the beginning of 2017 following an observation: the classical French education system is not evolving fast enough in relation to the evolution of society and its young people.

Hub School 21, the school of the 21st century, was born to try to provide an answer to this problem and to curb the growing lack of interest of young people in the school environment. Its objective is to create an educational model adapted to today’s needs, to the needs of young people. It thus proposes an inclusive, motivating and caring educational alternative, centred first and foremost on the human being, but also on nature or new technologies… To form happy and conscious citizens of tomorrow, authors of a sustainable world.

What is most important at Hub School 21 is the real desire to create a system that adapts to everyone and especially to children with special needs: Two thirds of the pupils have learning and/or adaptation difficulties in the school environment (DYS, ADHD, precociousness, etc.).

They are welcomed in multi-age classes, for intergenerational activities, transversal projects in connection with the outside world: other schools, partner companies and organisations, associative actors… Hub School 21 aims to create an educational ecosystem that brings together players committed to managerial and educational innovation: research, incubators, start-ups, associations, companies in the Social and Solidarity Economy, etc… Bringing a real wealth to students’ learning.

In addition, always in this logic of accessibility to each and everyone, school fees are staggered according to the parents’ income.

2.  OUR IMPACT:

Touched by this innovative and truly useful project, International Impact has decided to support its development on three levers:

• STRATEGIC ADVICE: Support for the governance of the association.
• FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Support in the search for funding.
• HUMAN RESOURCES: Creation of new Civic Service missions within this inspiring structure. A Civic Service was made available to Hub School 21 for a period of one year.

We want to give young people the opportunity to learn and be inspired by this beautiful initiative, as well as to perpetuate this structure and its positive impact.
